What to Expect on Your First Visit

We believe in providing a custom treatment plan for every patient, because no two mouths, or people, are alike. On your first visit, we will complete a thorough examination which will include:

Patient interview
Soft tissue evaluation (cancer screening exam)
Masticatory muscle evaluation
Occlusal (bite) evaluation
Supporting structures evaluation (gums and bones supporting teeth)
Radiographic evaluation

The information collected allows Dr. Holland to develop your custom treatment plan based on his diagnosis and your desires for care. So that you can make an informed decision about your treatment options, our goal is to do the following:

Identify your existing dental problems based on the examination and interview
Explain the implications of leaving those problems untreated
Provide a clear and concise understanding of your custom treatment plan

This comprehensive process not only allows you to feel secure in your medical decisions, it puts you on the best possible path to restoring the health, function, esthetics and comfort of your mouth.

Financial Policy & Financing

At your initial visit, payment is due at the time services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept MC/Visa or Discover. If you have any questions regarding the expected charges for your initial visit, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (803) 787-5445.

Dental treatment is an excellent investment in an individual’s well-being and we make every effort to make the financial arrangements a comfortable experience. With this goal in mind, we have partnered with CareCredit Financing to allow our patients more flexible payment options from interest free options of 6 to 12 months to long term payment plans.

Insurance

As a courtesy to our patients, we are happy to file your dental claims for your reimbursement at your initial visit however payment in full is expected at the time services are rendered. Once a treatment plan is determined, we will work diligently with your insurance plan to receive the maximum benefit available to you.

At times, we may be able to estimate your portion for treatment rendered and have your insurance company reimburse us directly or if time allows, send a pre-estimate to your insurance to determine your portion prior to treatment.

Please Remember: you are fully responsible for all charges made to you for treatment rendered in this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
